About tri-Pride

tri-Pride is the non-profit Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) pride celebration in Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and area in Ontario, Canada. In 2010, tri-Pride week is May 30-June 5, with our Live Outdoor Music Festival on Saturday June 5th.

Pride traditionally commemorates Stonewall, an historic event in LGBTQ history and culture (June 24th, 1974). In Waterloo Region, we celebrate earlier in the month, in working with neighbouring pride celebrations, in order to attract people into the Waterloo Region who want to celebrate with friends and family. In 2009, we packed our venue with more than 5,000 celebrants, counting us as one among Waterloo Region's festivals of significance.

Kudos for hilarious commentary Kudos for hilarious commentary

Best blog ever. This guy Mark from Montreal sums up a lot of tongue-in-cheek gay happens around Canada (and elsewhere) in short, sweet and thoughtful quips and drawings on his blog http://www.slapupsidethehead.com/.
He calls it “Combatting bigotry the gayest way I know how” and I think it’s just fine. Nice job, Mark.
